Guizhou Kailin Fine Phosphorus Chemical Co has secured 188 million yuan ($28.15 million) in funding via new policy-based financial instruments for its new wet-process phosphoric acid purification project. This marks the first major industrial project in Kaiyang to receive this type of policy financial support in 2026.

The project has a total investment of 1.88 billion yuan. It will construct a wet-process phosphoric acid purification unit. Using wet-process phosphoric acid as feedstock and the MIBK extraction purification process, the facility will feature a production line with an annual output of 600,000 metric tons of purified wet-process phosphoric acid (with 85-percent H₃PO₄). Completion is scheduled for the end of 2027.

To enable plant-wide data sharing and coordinated operations, the project will include a plant-level information management platform alongside intelligent control systems such as DCS, MES, and SIS. These systems will integrate data streams across the entire production workflow.

Upon completion, the project will advance the company's digital transformation, cut costs and boost efficiency. It will deliver systematic intelligent manufacturing upgrades for the traditional phosphorus chemical sector, further amplify Kaiyang's industrial advantages in phosphorus resources, and lay a solid foundation for Kaiyang's push to build a 100-billion-yuan industrial cluster.

Moving forward, Kaiyang will continue to leverage policy-based financial tools, cooperate with relevant financial institutions to identify viable projects, and step up planning and reserving of key industrial projects.
