Kaiyang holds Guiyang-Gui'an Farmers' Harvest Festival activities

The 2026 Guiyang-Gui'an Farmers' Harvest Festival Rural Sports Games opened on Sept 20 in Matou village, Hefeng township, Kaiyang county. Built around the autumn harvest season, the event combined traditional farming activities with entertaining sporting competitions.

The games featured three categories of events – team competitions, individual challenges, and interactive experiences – designed to balance professional standards with a fun and agricultural character. The events drew large crowds of villagers and visitors, both as participants and spectators.

Following the orderly completion of all competitions, the winners were announced across all categories. In the team events, Wangche village claimed the championship, with the Shuangtang Team and Longguang Nanjiang Wangwang Team taking second and third place, respectively.

As one of the featured activities of the 2026 Guiyang-Gui'an Farmers' Harvest Festival, the rural sports games used sport as a vehicle to carry forward traditional farming culture, enrich the cultural and recreational lives of rural residents, and showcase the positive, uplifting spirit of farmers in the new era.
