Kaiyang launch publicity campaign for International Day for Biological Diversity

The Guiyang municipal bureau of ecology and environment (Kaiyang branch), in conjunction with the Guiyang fifth district environmental monitoring station and the Kaiyang natural resources bureau, launched a publicity campaign for the International Day for Biological Diversity (May 22) at Yunkai Square in Kaiyang.

At the event, staff members set up consultation desks, distributed informational materials, and gave on-site explanations of biodiversity conservation, forest resources, and the prevention and control of environmental pollution. 

Over 200 copies of materials were distributed in total. The campaign called on residents to refuse to purchase or use products derived from wild animals and plants, and to take an active part in ecological conservation.

The campaign helped raise public awareness of biodiversity protection and encouraged residents to take a more active role in environmental conservation.

Going forward, Kaiyang will continue to carry out public education and outreach activities to promote biodiversity conservation and encourage broader community participation in ecological protection efforts.
