Kaiyang boosts green industry

Since the beginning of this year, Kaiyang has focused on green and circular development, with primary efforts directed towards the basic phosphorus chemical industry, the fine phosphorus-fluorine chemical industry, and new energy battery materials.

Enterprises are practicing the concept of green growth, promoting high-quality industrial development within the county.

Guizhou Kaiyang Chuandong Chemical Co utilizes the yellow phosphorus tail gas generated during production, after purification, to produce sodium formate, potassium formate, sodium hexametaphosphate, and other products, which are sold both domestically and internationally.

The company has established an annual production capacity of 25,000 metric tons of yellow phosphorus and 30,000 tons of potassium formate, with an annual output value stabilized between 500 million yuan ($73.32 million) and 800 million yuan.

Guizhou Julisheng Biochemical Co's production lines for potassium nitrate and food-grade phosphates were expected to begin trial production in March and April this year, targeting an output value of 5 billion yuan for the year.

Currently, the company produces about 200 tons of high-grade potassium hydroxide daily, with orders booked until August. The Julisheng project is being constructed in three phases, with a total investment of 5.92 billion yuan, covering an area of about 1,000 mu (66.67 hectares).

Guizhou Anda Technology Energy Co started with traditional phosphorus chemical products like yellow phosphorus and phosphoric acid, leveraging the rich phosphorus mineral resources of Kaiyang to solidify its industrial foundation.

The company has introduced nearly 300 high-level R&D talents and strengthened industry-university-research cooperation with institutions such as Sichuan University.

Meanwhile, the company is also advancing digital transformation, earning titles such as a national-level green factory.
