Qingming Festival brings prosperity to Kaiyang's tourism

Driven by the 20th Guizhou Tourism Development Conference, Kaiyang's cultural tourism sector saw a significant increase in activity during the Qingming Festival holiday.

The newly launched cliff zipline at Hou'er Tiankeng has become a must-visit attraction for tourists. This project leverages the unique karst landscape to offer an immersive experience. Visitors are equipped with top-tier professional safety gear to glide through the air.

The scenic area provides professional photography services throughout the experience and adheres to a "one inspection for one use" equipment standard for everyone. Professional coaches are on hand at all times, and emergency plans and site insurance are in place. During the holiday, the site welcomed a total of 2,639 visits, marking a year-on-year increase of 136.05 percent, with its popularity continuing to soar.

Hefeng township has gained popularity with its core project, the zipline, combined with rural leisure experiences. The zipline, stretching 1,314 meters, is constructed along the Shil Hualang scenic area and can reach speeds of up to 52 kilometers per hour. Built to national standards, it features intelligent monitoring and professional supervision. The attraction welcomed over 2,000 visits, with the township seeing an accommodation occupancy rate exceeding 50 percent.

The Qingming Festival holiday also coincided with the peak season for picking selenium-rich tea in Kaiyang. Tea gardens like Yunshan Tea Sea and Nangong River Tea Garden offered integrated experiences of picking, making, and tasting tea, attracting over 1,000 visits.
