Kaiyang county signed a cooperation agreement with Guizhou Tongren Guicha Tea Industry Co and Weng'an Huazhu Tea Grinding Manufacturing Co on March 26 to establish the Kaiyang Selenium-Enriched Tea Grinding Production Line Construction Project.

Du Yumei, deputy head of Kaiyang, presided over the ceremony and, on behalf of the Kaiyang county people's government, signed the agreement with the two companies.
Liu Wenzhu, director of the standing committee of the Kaiyang people's congress, stated in his speech that Kaiyang has significant selenium resources and a solid foundation for developing its tea industry.
This signing is an important initiative for the government and enterprises to promote the high-quality development of the tea industry, with Kaiyang set to provide optimal services and maximum efficiency to ensure the project's smooth progress.

A company representative stated that Kaiyang's tea industry is resource-rich, with broad development prospects and a strong working atmosphere. The focus will be on enhancing product value and promoting the high-quality, sustainable development of the local tea-grinding industry.
The project's total investment is 90 million yuan ($13.02 million) and will be implemented in three phases, including the construction of a 10,000-mu (667 hectares) tea grinding base, along with 12 tea grinding production lines and two green tea production lines.
