Kaiyang county is advancing spring plowing through policy support, technological empowerment, and grassroots service provision, laying solid foundations for a bountiful harvest throughout 2026.
Fengsan Tobacco Leaf Station has assigned professional technicians as seedling managers to monitor temperature, humidity, water, and fertilizer conditions in the seedling sheds and manage ventilation, frost prevention, and pest control, providing comprehensive, ongoing guidance and management services for cultivation workshops.

Guixi Agriculture, an agricultural supply store that has operated for 21 years, sells 200 kilograms of seeds daily, with peak sales reaching 300-400 kg. The store controls quality every year, introducing new varieties for farmers to choose from, with 50,000 kg of seeds stocked for 2026. Kaiyang has registered 172 varieties of rice seeds totaling 62,300 kg, and 492 varieties of corn seeds totaling 536,200 kg.
The Kaiyang agriculture and rural affairs bureau has also collaborated with towns and villages to conduct comprehensive spring seed market inspections, preventing substandard seeds from entering markets and fields.
