Kaiyang holds activities to welcome Spring Festival

As the Spring Festival approaches, various locations in Kaiyang county have organized a series of unique activities. These events aim to enrich the community's spiritual and cultural life, promote traditional Chinese culture, and create a festive atmosphere.

The Party Committee of the Kaiyang bureau of education organized a Party Day event. Party members wrote auspicious couplets and the character "Fu" (meaning "fortune"), which volunteers then delivered to residents' homes, extending heartfelt Chinese New Year blessings.

The 2026 Spring Cup and the second Community Sports Games were launched in Zhaiji township on Feb 8. The games featured basketball and tug-of-war competitions. Outside the arena, traditional performances such as dragon and lion dances were staged. The event also included a specialty agricultural product exhibition area, showcasing over 20 types of local products.

Miping township hosted a Spring Festival cultural and sports event on Feb 9, with a thrilling tug-of-war competition pushing the festivities to a climax.

Fengsan town held a themed celebration where staff members from the Fengsan health center provided free medical checkups for residents. Calligraphers wrote Spring Festival couplets and the Chinese character "Fu" to convey Chinese New Year blessings. Staff members also raised awareness about the dangers of drugs and shared anti-drug knowledge.

Tianchong village in Hefeng township hosted the 2026 Spring Festival Basketball League, attracting teams from central enterprises, local units, and the village itself. The site featured a long-table banquet, ethnic song and dance performances, spring couplet calligraphy, and other festive activities.
