Kaiyang hosts celebratory calligraphy and painting exhibition

On Sept 28, Kaiyang county held a calligraphy and painting exhibition titled 2025 "Welcoming Mid-Autumn Festival and Celebrating National Day: Expressing Affection Through Brush and Ink" to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the founding of the China Association for Promoting Democracy (CAPD).

The event aimed to celebrate the 76th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China and the Mid-Autumn Festival, as well as to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the China Association for Promoting Democracy and the 11th anniversary of the Kaiyang branch which belongs to this association.

Through the art forms of calligraphy and painting, the event sought to promote excellent Chinese traditional culture, pass down the wonderful traditions of CAPD, and showcase Kaiyang's rich cultural and artistic achievements.

The exhibition featured over 100 works of calligraphy, painting, and batik, covering themes such as landscapes and folk customs, highlighting the creators' exquisite ideas and passion for life, and attracting a large number of citizens to appreciate the art.

All exhibited works were created by local calligraphers, painters, art enthusiasts, and students from Kaiyang. They infused their affection for their hometown and praise for the era into their works, demonstrating a firm belief in contributing to rural vitalization and cultural vitalization.

On the same day, a ceremony was also held to unveil the "Home of Members" of the Kaiyang branch of the China Association for Promoting Democracy.
