Kaiyang's vegetable seedlings sold outside Guizhou in cold chain

The Nanmuduo Vegetable Seeding Breeding Center, located in Linjiang village, Nanmuduo town, Kaiyang county, is a provincial-level demonstration base for high-quality solanaceous vegetable seedlings. It is currently in a critical period for intensive seedling emergence in the summer and autumn seasons.

The smart greenhouse utilizes technologies such as fans, wet curtains, and intelligent shading nets. Staff members can remotely control the system via mobile phones to maintain the temperature within an ideal range, ensuring the health of the seedlings.

The base employs "PGPR rhizosphere microorganism" technology, which increases the number of lateral roots by 42 percent and root hair density by 38 percent, enhancing the seedlings' resilience and survival rate during transportation.

Ten refrigerated trucks transport seedlings to other provinces every day, with an annual plan to produce 10 million seedlings. Through collaboration between the government, research institutions, and enterprises, the base promotes Guizhou's seedlings nationwide, becoming an exemplary case of modern agriculture.
