Kaiyang county in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, is utilizing its phosphate reserves to upgrade traditional industries and develop high-end phosphorus chemicals, building advanced manufacturing clusters.
The county is also promoting digital transformation, with Huawei Cloud conducting digital assessments for 12 local enterprises, thereby fostering innovative businesses. Twenty-two research projects have also received provincial and municipal support, helping to boost high-tech and specialized enterprises.

Phosphate ore is being converted into lithium hexafluorophosphate and other materials for new-energy batteries, and wet-process fertilizers and yellow phosphorus products have been upgraded, forming a comprehensive, high-value industrial chain.
Kaiyang is also strengthening business services, improving the investment environment, and enforcing industrial park security to curb illegal mining and transportation, ensuring stable and high-quality development.
