Local grower Zhou Quanzheng said that over 100 mu (6.7 hectares) of peaches were planted two years ago, with this year's yield expected to surpass 10 metric tons. The orchard includes multiple premium varieties to meet diverse market needs.
Capitalizing on its natural advantages, Nanlong has implemented a peach-centered growth strategy, expanding peach cultivation to 1,962 mu. Using a "cooperative + large growers + farmers" model, the township promotes superior varieties, standardized farming, and wider sales channels to strengthen its peach brand.
The peach industry increases farmers' incomes and creates seasonal jobs in harvesting and packaging, fueling progress in rural areas.
