On May 18, thousands of performers filled the streets of Guiyang, Guizhou province, in a parade to celebrate China Tourism Day. The 150-minute event featured 26 unique groups and nearly 3,600 participants. It combined the traditional costumes, customs and crafts of local ethnic groups like the Yi, Bouyei and Miao with modern highlights such as AI-powered puppets. New cultural tourism stars, including the viral macaque Xiaolaofei and a popular roadside concert, brought a fun and lively touch to the province's display of both ethnic heritage and modern energy.
