Kaiyang county is rehearsing for the upcoming Guizhou Ethnic Unity Grand Parade. Some 100 students from Kaiyang County Vocational Technical School practiced on the playground on May 15, dressed in vibrant fruit costumes and carrying bamboo baskets filled with props.
Kaiyang's "Guizhou fruits" parade segment features iconic local fruits such as selenium-rich loquats, Longli's cili (Rosa roxburghii), and Majiang's blueberries, integrating music, dance, and agriculture.
Liu Xin, director of the county cultural center, said that the performance will artistically showcase Guizhou's fruit harvest and ethnic culture, offering a feast of rural tourism charm while promoting national unity.
