Kaiyang boosts rural vitality through agri-tourism fusion

During the May Day holiday, Kaiyang county's Longguang village attracted many tourists with its picturesque scenery and rich Shuidong culture. Under the "Shuidong Xiangshe Homestay" project, idle rural homes have been revitalized, benefiting over 200 households and increasing annual income to 12,600 yuan ($1,754.9) per capita. 

Qingjiang village in Huali town takes advantage of its suitable climate to grow premium fruits such as cherries and loquats, offering pick-your-own experiences. The village also launched a stand-up paddle project at Red Army Square, injecting some excitement into rural tourism. 

Kaiyang has merged agriculture with tourism, creating jobs and boosting local economies. Recognized as a provincial resort and a national rural tourism highlight, the county will further develop cultural and sports tourism, offering more unique experiences to visitors.
