During the May Day holiday, Nanjing Grand Canyon Scenic Area in Kaiyang county, Guiyang was popular among visitors, receiving 18,000 visits, including 2,000 who stayed over-night, 3,100 who went rafting and 1,000 who visited the glass-bottom bridge, bringing in a total of more than 900,000 yuan ($126,840.92) in tourism revenue.
Nanjiang Grand Canyon Scenic Area is a national 4A-level tourist attraction and a provincial-level scenic spot, renowned as the "Karst Ecological Museum". The area features a combination of unique peaks, canyons, cliffs, precipices, waterfalls, travertine formations, streams, springs, boulders, and karst forests.
As a "Guizhou Mountain Outdoor Sports Tourism Leisure Base" and a "China Sports Tourism Quality Project," the scenic area also offers opportunities for sightseeing and hiking, as well as thrilling activities such as rafting, via ferrata, jungle trekking, CS field battles, bonfire parties, and night bars.
Currently, Nanjiang Grand Canyon is leveraging its unique natural resources to form a "culture + sports + tourism" development model. The area will continue to innovate and cultivate diverse business models, enrich entertainment and recreational activities, and enhance the attraction of the scenic area, striving to make this beautiful destination even more appealing.
