Business conference promotes Guiyang and Guian

On Oct 28, the Guiyang City and Guian New Area Investment Promotion Conference was held in Guiyang as an important event of the Guizhou Conference on the High-quality Development of the Manufacturing Industry Driven by Digital Transformation in 2023.

"From January to September this year, the GDP of Guiyang City and Guian New Area increased by 6.4 percent compared to the same period last year, and the added value of industrial enterprises above a designated size increased by 94.5 percent," said Yang Zhirong, deputy director of the new area's administrative committee.

During the conference, cooperation directions in the fields of electronic information manufacturing, new energy, and advanced equipment manufacturing were announced, and entrepreneurs were invited to invest in Guiyang and Guian.

For example, in the new energy industry, Guiyang and Guian hoped to cooperate in key areas such as the manufacturing of new energy vehicles (NEVs), including electric heavy trucks, buses, and commercial vehicles, as well as power batteries, vehicle motors, control systems, vehicle electronics, chassis systems, and raw materials.

The Guiyang Municipal People's Government and the administrative committee of Guian New Area also signed a strategic cooperation agreement on investment promotion with the China Machinery Enterprise Management Association.
