The Kaiyang section of the Nanchang-Yixing Road is currently having its safety facilities improved.

The to-be-upgraded road is around 14 kilometers long, passing through Qingjiang village, Wengzhao village, Nanliang village, Dingzhao village and Wenquan village in Kaiyang county in Guiyang, capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province.

The project is mainly to add town signs and markings at the entrances and exits of towns, supplement and improve traffic signs and markings at level crossings, and add level crossing piles.

Meanwhile, guardrails that are too small and offer inadequate protection will be removed, upgraded and rebuilt.

Linear guidance signs will be added on sharp curves with poor visibility, and colored anti-slip pavement, deceleration markings and an intelligent warning system for crossing cars will be added on steep slopes and sharp curves.

The project is expected to be completed by the end of May. About 28 percent of the project has been completed so far.
