Kaiyang county in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, recently released a to-do list to improve people's livelihoods in 2023.
According to the list, a total of 36 items will be completed within the year. They are related to rural vitalization, transportation, culture and education, medical and health care, urban and rural construction, entrepreneurship and employment, and social security.
In terms of rural vitalization, Kaiyang plans to harden 11.8 kilometers of roads and build 20,000 mu of high-standard farmland and 5,900 meters of new irrigation ditches.
To improve culture and education, the county will complete the upgrading and reconstruction of the Kaiyang County Gymnasium and complete the reconstruction and expansion project of the living area of Kaiyang No 1 Middle School.
It will also complete the standardized construction of Nanmudu Middle School and start the standardized construction of Longshui Township Primary School.
To improve medical services and increase employment, Kaiyang will establish a children's rehabilitation center, build a new children's intensive care unit, and complete the construction of a minimally invasive intervention center.
Other plans include creating 5,800 new jobs in cities and towns and completing vocational training for 3,000 people.
