New ophthalmology specialty alliance established in Guiyang

A ceremony marking the establishment of an ophthalmology specialty alliance between the First People's Hospital of Guiyang and People's Hospital of Kaiyang was held in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, on March 28. 

The two hospitals will carry out in-depth exchanges and cooperation in the fields of standardized diagnosis and treatment, talent training, discipline development, and academic research through the new alliance, bring more high-quality ophthalmic medical resources to grassroots medical institutions, and improve overall ophthalmic diagnosis and treatment as well as specialty influence in the county, offering patients better medical services. 

Xiong Chengjin, president of People's Hospital of Kaiyang, said he hoped that the hospital's ophthalmology department will take advantage of the technical advantages of the First People's Hospital of Guiyang to further academic and talent exchanges and cooperation and improve ophthalmic medical technology and the quality of medical services in Kaiyang county.
