Kaiyang's 17 major projects start construction

The ground breaking ceremony for 17 major projects was successfully held in Kaiyang county in Guiyang, the capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province, on Feb 8.

The projects involve fields such as new-type urbanization, new-type industrialization, agricultural modernization and tourism industrialization. These projects have a total investment of 13.38 billion yuan ($2.10 billion).

Among the projects is Guizhou Anda Energy Technology Co's lithium iron phosphate project, which is designed to have an annual output of 60,000 metric tons per year.

When put into operation, the project is expected to generate an output value of 4.8 billion yuan per year and will provide job opportunities for around 500 people.

In 2023, plans are for Kaiyang to advance the construction of 73 projects that are worth 66.80 billion yuan throughout the year.

These projects are said to play an essential role in improving Kaiyang's industrial structure and will boost the high-quality development of the local economy.
