The 2023 Guiyang import commodity festival, one of the most popular New Year display areas and an integral part of the Guizhou New Year Special Purchase Festival, concluded on Jan 15, according to local news reports from the Guiyang bureau of commerce on the same day.
Data show that the Guiyang import commodity festival received over 10,000 visitors per day. The festival featured thousands of types of commodities from more than 30 countries and regions, including cosmetics, seafood, wine, milk powders and other quality goods.
In 2022, Guiyang and Guian's exports and imports accounted for over 75 percent of Guizhou's total, with the service trade volume up by 30 percent, foreign investment in actual use up by nearly 40 percent, and the number of foreign economy technology contracts up by 14.61 percent year-on-year, a sign that Guiyang's export-oriented economy is becoming more resilient.
Guiyang has been authorized to become a pilot zone for second-hand car trading, a national import trade promotion and innovation demonstration zone, and a provincial digital service export base.
In 2022, Guiyang and Guian registered $1.04 billion in cross-border e-commerce contracts, rising by 112 percent. They have also established 41 overseas warehouses in Australia, Southeast Asia, the United States, and other places.
Products made in Guizhou and special produce from Guizhou are being recognized by more global investors.
