With the Spring Festival fast approaching, a buoyant and festive atmosphere is sweeping across Kaiyang county in Guiyang, the capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province.
The streets and alleys in Kaiyang are being decorated with jaunty red lanterns and colored lights, creating an unmistakably festive ambience.
According to the plan, a total of 2,100 lanterns will be installed on Lindu Avenue, Chengbei Road, Fortune Avenue, and Kaizhou Avenue.
Meanwhile, star-studded decorative lights will be hung onto the trees around the entrance of Xizhou Avenue, Kaizhou Avenue, Donghu Avenue, and Nanmenwai Bridge.
This project started on Jan 4 and is scheduled to be completed on Jan 15.
