Kaiyang introduces 67 industrial projects in 2022

Kaiyang county in Guiyang, the capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province, achieved great results in business promotion this year.

Statistics from the county show that in 2022, Kaiyang introduced 67 new industrial projects with an investment capital of 7.84 billion yuan ($1.12 billion), and has introduced 22 enterprises with excellent and strong business performances.

Since the beginning of this year, Kaiyang has adjusted the number of its industrial parks from seven to four. This was done to optimize the industrial park layout.

Currently, the industrial parks, namely the new energy battery material industrial park, the fine chemical industrial park, the titanium, phosphorus, sulfur, iron, calcium and fluoride industrial park, and the selenium-rich agricultural product processing industrial park, have played an essential role in developing the industrial economy in the county.

Taking advantage of the rich phosphorus and selenium resources in its jurisdiction, Kaiyang is dedicated to developing the chemical industry and the organic food industry.

Moving forward, Kaiyang will focus on projects with high added value such as chlor-alkali, electrolyte, battery-negative electrode materials, battery separators and packaging, high-end phosphate, functional new materials, and the intensive processing of selenium-rich agricultural products.
