The Ministry of Culture and Tourism officially released the second list of key towns or townships for rural tourism.
Hefeng Bouyei and Miao township in Guiyang, the capital city of southwest China's Guizhou province became the only township in Guiyang to make it onto this prestigious national list.
Hefeng township is 60 kilometers away from Guiyang and 28 km away from any urban areas in Kaiyang county.
In recent years, Hefeng township has established several scenic areas based on its ethnic culture, refreshing environment and charming scenery.
Tourists can enjoy a wide variety of entertaining activities there, including experiencing ethnic customs, trying their hand at fruit picking, and getting involved in tea making. They can also do more relaxing activities like countryside sightseeing and camping.

At present, the Qinglonghe Rural Tourism Area has been successfully developed into a National Agricultural Tourism Demonstration Site. Shuidong Xizhou Tourism Resort and Xianghuoyan Canyon have both become popular provincial scenic spots.
Also within Hefeng's jurisdiction, Matou village was rated as a Key National Rural Tourism Village, and Wangche and Chuandong villages were rated as key villages for rural tourism within Guizhou province.
