Yellow peach farms drive Miping's vitalization

Farmers in Miping township enjoy increased income due to the yellow peach farming industry. Not only does the yellow peach farming industry help locals, but it is also successfully contributing to the rural vitalization of the countryside.

Miping is located in Kaiyang county in Guiyang, the capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province. In recent years, Miping has introduced three kinds of yellow peaches through its cooperation with the Guizhou Provincial Institute of Agriculture.

These peaches have a strong and fruity taste, and their harvesting seasons are in May, June and July, respectively.

To date, Miping has invested more than 6 million yuan ($863,306) in project funds, and the scale of high-quality yellow peach planting has reached 1,450 mu (96.67 hectares).

More than 80 villages have been offered opportunities to work in the peach farming industry, each can earn more than 10,000 yuan per year for the seasonal work.
