Kaiyang county in Guiyang, the capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province, is taking measures to boost the development of its commerce and trade.
Speeding up the construction of professional markets such as the Kaiyang agricultural product wholesale market, the Xizhou Auto Trade City, and a renewable resource recycling market is part of the measures that have taken place.
According to statistics, Kaiyang now has three farmer's markets in operation, with 585 business stalls and stores set up.
It also has one home building materials market covering an area of 26,757 square meters, with 576 commercial shops.
In addition, a selenium-enriched agricultural special product market and a fruit wholesale market have been built and put into use. They cover 556,000 sq m and 1,500 sq m, respectively.
Meanwhile, Kaiyang strives to create a county-level commercial system by building a county-level commercial network system, a rural circulation system, and a modern supply chain system. It has further improved its commercial infrastructure functions, warehouse and distribution capabilities, the value of selenium-rich brands, and the income of rural residents.
What's more, Kaiyang will set up village-level e-commerce sites and county-level logistics warehouses to further solve the delivery problems experienced in the countryside. It will also continue to improve the transportation and delivery of high-quality agricultural products to downtown areas.
