A 200,000-ton lithium iron phosphate industrial park project funded by CNGR Advanced Materials Co (CNGR) is currently being built and is scheduled to begin operating in mid-November.
The project is located in Kaiyang county in Guiyang, capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province.
In 2021, the Kaiyang county government signed an investment agreement with CNGR to build a 1-million-ton phosphorus-based material production base and a research institute in Kaiyang in various stages.
Total investment in these projects reached 10 billion yuan.
After the projects begin operating at full capacity, their output value is expected to reach 50 billion yuan, providing jobs for around 5,000 people.
The under-construction industrial park is the first phase of CNGR's Kaiyang projects.
The project will be responsible for the integrated business of phosphate rocks, phosphating, ferrophosphorus, iron lithium and recycling.
CNGR is the world's largest comprehensive service provider of cathode precursor materials for lithium batteries. In 2021, its market share of ternary precursors and cobalt tetroxide ranked first in the world.
Its core products have successfully entered the high-end supply chain of many Fortune 500 companies and have been widely used in computers, communications, consumer electronics, power and energy.
