Since the recent outbreak of COVID-19 began on Aug 31, deputies to the People's Congress at all levels from Kaiyang county in Guiyang, capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province, have been working to safeguard people's livelihoods while the county tightens virus prevention and control policies.
Around 500 deputies have joined in efforts to raise awareness of virus prevention and control measures, collecting nucleic test samples and ensuring the supply of daily necessities, among others.
