If you are looking for a place to escape the summer heat wave, the Nanjiang Grand Canyon scenic zone is a good choice.
The scenic zone is located in Kaiyang county, 39 kilometers from downtown Guiyang, capital of southwest China's Guizhou province.
As one of the "Eight Guiyang Attractions", it is known as the World Karst Ecology Museum. It has complex terraces, eccentric rocks and rich ecosystems, giving it a unique beauty.

With an altitude of over 100 meters, it appears like a traditional landscape painting. Huge rocks have fallen into the river and been battered by the waves for millions of years, giving them a variety of beautiful shapes and features.
The Nanjiang Grand Canyon was listed as a national 4A scenic area in 2008. The best time to visit is in March and October every year.
