Kaiyang county in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, will launch 14 projects this year to ensure the safety of drinking water for local residents.
Plans are for Kaiyang to extend and the water distribution pipeline network based on the existing urban and rural water plants or stable water sources.
When all the projects are put into operation, they will provide drinking water for 97,500 people.
Currently, four of the planned projects have started construction, which is expected to provide safe drinking water for 27,500 people in 17 villages and residential communities.
