Various key industrial projects in Kaiyang county in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, are currently either under construction or already operating.

On March 31, the first phase of a phosphogypsum powder production project started trial operations in Kaiyang on March 31.

The project can handle 435,000 metric tons of phosphogypsum and produce 3,000,000 tons of phosphogypsum powder each year, which is expected to contribute 3.45 million yuan in local tax revenue.

The most notable projects under construction are the lithium bisfluorosulfonimide project invested in by CATL, which will have an annual production capacity of 20,000 metric tons; the 200,000-ton lithium iron phosphate project invested in by CNGR Advanced Materials Co; and the 300,000 tons of lithium battery anode materials project invested in by Shanshan Group.

Others will include a 500,000-ton lithium iron phosphate project and a 20,000-ton lithium hexafluorophosphate project.

In recent years, Kaiyang has been committed to building a modern industrial system with high-end phosphate fertilizers, fine phosphate chemicals, aluminum and aluminum processing as auxiliary chains, relying on its abundance of phosphate rock resources.
