To improve people's life, Kaiyang county – administered by Guiyang, capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province – will renovate and upgrade more of its old residential communities.
In 2022, plans are for Kaiyang to revamp eight communities that have 3,600 households.
They include the Nanjiang Garden Residential Community, the Linquanju Residential Community, Jinqiu Garden Residential Community and the Linkuang Residential Community.

A total of 32 million yuan ($4.80 million) will be invested in the latest renovation project.
It will include roof waterproofing, exterior facelift of buildings, renovation of old internal corridors and improvement to the water supply and drainage pipe network – as well as improvement of fire-fighting facilities and the replacement of handrails.
Renovation of Kaiyang's old residential communities is said to have begun in 2019.
Over a three-year period, a total of 16 communities have now been renovated or upgraded.
