Kaiyang county of Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, received 178,200 tourist visits during the seven-day Spring Festival holiday, according to the county's culture, sports, radio, television and tourism bureau.
During the seven-day holiday from Jan 31 to Feb 6, tourism revenue in the county hit 97 million yuan ($14.55 million). The majority of tourists were from Guizhou province, and the most popular activities were sightseeing, relative visiting, family tours and suburban sightseeing.

To ensure safety and order during the holiday, Kaiyang set up tourism consulting and complaint hotlines and strengthened inspection and supervision on tourism markets.
Over the holiday, both Kaiyang's cultural tourism market and social security remained strong, with no tourism safety incidents or complaints being reported.
