Kaiyang, Guizhou Academy of Agricultural Sciences partner up

Kaiyang county – in Southwest China's Guizhou province – signed a framework agreement on Aug 12 with the Guizhou Academy of Agricultural Sciences to jointly promote the industrialized development and modernization of its agricultural sector.

At a meeting, the agriculture and rural affairs bureau of Kaiyang county gave a briefing on current conditions in the county – exploring what the next practical steps would be in their new partnership. 

Yang Xionggang, deputy Party secretary of Kaiyang, said the county had made new progress in implementing its rural revitalization strategy and in extending the development of modern agriculture.

Yang urged Kaiyang county and the Guizhou Academy of Agricultural Sciences to explore new mechanisms together for the development of modern agriculture and to construct new development models.

He also expressed the hope that the academy's experts would transfer technology and scientific research results to Kaiyang, accelerate the construction of agricultural industry bases, create distinctive product brands and train technicians – providing strong support for the high-quality development of the county's agricultural sector and its rural revitalization.
