Matou village in Kaiyang county in Guiyang – capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province – recently made it onto the list of the third batch of national key rural tourism villages.
The list was released on Aug 2, by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
The findings were included in the "Announcement on Publicizing the List of the Third Batch of National Key Rural Tourism Villages and the List of the First Batch of National Key Rural Tourism Towns (Townships)".
In addition to Matou village in Kaiyang county, other Guizhou province's villages on the list were Huawu village in Qianxi county in Bijie city and Xiaohewan village in Pingba county in Anshun city.
To top it off, a number of locals made onto the list of the first batch of national key rural tourism towns, or townships.
Among those receiving recognition were Wanfenglin sub-district in Qianxinan Bouyei and Miao autonomous prefecture, Taiping town in Jiangkou county in Tongren city – and Panjiang town in Guiding county in Qiannan Bouyei and Miao autonomous prefecture.
