Kaiyang county – located in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province – is expanding its sales channels for agricultural products in the wake of an agreement signed on June 28, between Kaiyang County Supply and Marketing Group Co and Kaiyang Hongyuan Ecological Planting Farmers Professional Cooperative.
Under the accord, the two parties will ensure the quality of kiwi fruit grown in the region. They will jointly promote the development of a sales system, strengthen the matchmaking of production and sales, and broaden the sales channels for agricultural products there.
The Kaiyang farmers' cooperative has planted more than 800 mu (53.33 hectares) of kiwi fruit, with an annual output of 450,000 kilograms, but was unsure how to best increase its sales.
It is understood that the Kaiyang County Supply and Marketing Group is moving to help the cooperative through exploring e-commerce and combining rural tourism with its products.
In recent years, the company has been expanding a new rural modern logistics network based on the matchmaking of production and sales.
It has moved to establish a new cooperative operation service mechanism that integrates production, supply and marketing, and credit cooperation.
