Updated: 2019-11-08

Huali town in Kaiyang county – located in Guiyang in southwestern Guizhou province – on Nov 7 signed off on a big project with Guizhou Jiankang Nonghe Chinese Herbs Planting Co Ltd to plant 267 hectares of traditional Chinese medicine herbs.

According to local officials, the agreement was inked after many negotiations between the two sides.

They said it will see increases in farmers' incomes, boost the local agricultural industry and lead to poverty alleviation and rural revitalization.

This will be done by funds for the use of the land, providing job positions for local villagers, and providing technologies to guide farmers to grow the Chinese herbs.

In recent years, in order to promote the local industrial upgrading, Huali town has identified industries and developed an industrial base that has suited local conditions.

Looking at planting of traditional Chinese herbs, the town actively negotiated with local enterprises.

The aim was to boost development through the combination and cooperation with leading enterprises, cooperatives and farmers.
