Kaiyang opens selenium-rich tea flagship store

Selenium -- currently relatively scarce in China -- is an essential mineral with antioxidant properties, which like iron and zinc is known to be beneficial for people's health.

Industry experts say there is a surging demand for high-quality healthy tea as the public desire for a healthy lifestyle increases.

According to local media reports, through the flagship store, customers can experience and sample the products in person and they can also buy the products online.

The sales of goods are all completed by the online system, using the internet, the internet of things and other technologies to complete the settlement, logistics and other processes.

The Kaiyang selenium-rich tea store aims to make full use of high-tech big data means to help local tea farmers to combat poverty and increase farmers' incomes.

Officials said the store will promote the development of Kaiyang selenium-rich tea's industrialization, production scale, standardization and quality.
